Rooted Arborist Supply: Shipping Policy

 

 

1. General Shipping Information

 

At Rooted Arborist Supply, we work hard to process and ship your essential equipment quickly and efficiently. Our goal is to get your gear to the job site as fast as possible.

  • Processing Time: Orders are typically processed and shipped within 1-2 business days (Monday–Friday, excluding holidays) after your order is placed. Processing time may be longer during peak seasons or immediately following large sales.

  • Shipping Carriers: We primarily use FedEx, UPS, and USPS. The carrier chosen depends on the size, weight, destination, and service speed selected for your order.

  • Order Cut-Off: Orders placed after 12:00 PM ([Your Time Zone, e.g., PST]) will begin processing on the next business day.


 

2. Shipping Rates and Options

 

Shipping rates are calculated based on the weight and dimensions of your products, the destination address, and the shipping speed selected at checkout.

 

A. Standard Domestic Options (48 Contiguous US States)

Ground/Standard 3–7 Business Days Most economical option for heavy or bulky items.
Expedited 2–3 Business Days Faster service for time-sensitive orders.
Next Day/Overnight 1 Business Day Fastest available service; rates vary significantly.

 

B. Free Shipping Promotion (If Applicable)

 

  • We offer Free Standard Shipping on orders over $[Insert Amount, e.g., 150.00] shipped within the 48 contiguous United States.

  • The Free Shipping option is always Standard Ground service. If you require expedited shipping, you must select and pay for that option at checkout.


 

3. Shipping for Oversized and Hazardous Items

 

Certain items require special handling and may incur additional charges:

  • Oversized Items: Extremely bulky items (e.g., long poles, large rigging plates, bulk ropes) may be subject to a surcharge due to carrier fees, even if the order qualifies for free shipping. This surcharge will be noted at checkout.

  • Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT): Items classified as HAZMAT (e.g., aerosols, certain lubricants, fuels) must ship via specific ground services and cannot be shipped via air (Expedited/Next Day). These restrictions are mandated by federal law.


 

4. P.O. Boxes, Alaska, Hawaii, and APO/FPO

 

  • P.O. Boxes: We can only ship to P.O. Boxes using USPS services. Please ensure your selected shipping method allows for P.O. Box delivery.

  • Alaska and Hawaii: Shipments to AK and HI require air freight and do not qualify for free shipping. Rates will be calculated at checkout based on destination and weight.

  • APO/FPO: We are happy to ship to military addresses via USPS. Due to military handling, delivery times can be extensive and cannot be guaranteed.


 

5. International Shipping

 

We offer shipping to select international destinations.

  • Calculated Rates: International rates are calculated at checkout based on the destination and the dimensional weight of the package.

  • Taxes and Duties: The customer is solely responsible for all import duties, taxes, customs fees, and brokerage charges assessed by the destination country. These fees are not included in your shipping total and are payable upon delivery. We are legally required to declare the full value of the order on all customs forms.


 

6. Risk of Loss and Delivery Issues

 

Once your order leaves our facility, the responsibility shifts:

  • Risk of Loss: As per our Terms of Service, the risk of loss and title for all items passes to you upon our delivery to the carrier (F.O.B. Shipping Point).

  • Lost or Stolen Packages: If the tracking information shows your package was delivered but you cannot find it, please check with neighbors, building management, and your local carrier office. Rooted Arborist Supply is not responsible for packages that are stolen or go missing after confirmed delivery.

  • Damaged Shipments: If your package arrives damaged, please keep all packaging materials and the damaged goods. Contact us immediately (within 48 hours of delivery) so we can file a claim with the carrier and assist you with a replacement.
